I don't say much. Mostly here to read and like your skeets. Otherwise, will talk about Clemson, Atlanta Restaurants, Food/Cooking/Restaurants, Atlanta Happenings, College Football, TV/Movies, and whatever else seems fun.

Buddy is apparently getting his wish, and I would like the majority of my followers who are white dudes from Georgia to think very carefully about what right any of you think you have to stay out of this

I have spent my entire adult life being lectured by Republican politicians and conservative legal movement types about how important it is to preserve the sacred constitutional right to self-defense of *specifically this person* and then secret police murdered him in the street

Ex-Nazi guard, 101, sentenced for role in 3,500 murders He was sentenced to five years in prison for serving at the Nazis’ Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

They wheeled this Nazi asshole into court in a wheelchair and he was still trying to hide his face in shame 76 years after World War II ended. That's the kind of commitment I'm looking for.

What I continue to remain shocked by, possibly unduly, is how hard capitalism punished ordinary workers for cutting corners and doing the bare minimum for decades, and now it's totally pivoted to telling us cheating is cool.

I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

I’ve started using the term β€œethnic cleansing campaign” to describe the ICE occupation here in Minnesota. This is deliberate because the reality on the ground is that, at a given moment, any non-white person can be kidnapped by masked federal paramilitaries regardless of their constitutional rights.

Everything you can do to slow down ICE's ethnic cleansing pogrom will save lives.

If you make it so it takes 12 goons to do a 6-goon job, you're saving lives. Every minute they spend in location 1 is a minute they can't spend in location 2.

Every squad they deploy to your city saves another city.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but cops are not allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said.

That is called murder when they do that.

Some cops are working hard to convince people otherwise.

The US should not be allowed to host any international competitions in any sport until we stop doing this. This includes the Olympics.

ICE has only existed since 2003. A Bush-era creation, it is a militarized federal secret police that has been imbued with the Supreme Court with the unconstitutional power to ignore the fourth amendment.

Abolishing it and salting the earth where it grew is the moderate stance.

Totally. Lazy Betty is what I expected from a fine dining experience and it lived up to the hype. Georgia Boy was unexpected and surpassed expectations.

I just couldn't get enough of the creativity and Atlanta-ness of it all at GB. Feels like there's nods and easter eggs everywhere - in the food, in the decor. Really comes through that one of Chef Ward's inspirations is Willy Wonka πŸ˜‚

Agree that I enjoyed Georgia Boy more than Lazy Betty. I remember more of the flavors and dishes from LB, but I remember how the entire experience at GB made me feel even more vividly

Only potential downside is that it can be pricy (especially if you add the alcoholic bev pairing). BUT I'd say the experience is still worth it (and the non-alcoholic bev pairing looked better anyways).
I went for my birthday a few years ago and loved it. Hope you go and enjoy it just as much!

Absolutely worth it. Very cool venue and ambience while being able to watch all the food being prepared in the kitchen in an intimate setting. Extremely creative and seasonal menu with lots of nods to Atlanta/Georgia things. One of the best experiential restaurants in the city IMO

"In the business world, you look at the old bell curve of a business," he said in November of 2015. "You've got the birth. You've got the growth. You've got plateau. You've got decline. And you've got death. Those great businesses out there, those great programs, they don't plateau. So how do you do that? You have to constantly reinvent, reinvest, reset, learn, grow. You change. You have to do that. You don't just change to change, but you have to always challenge yourself each and every year and make sure, 'OK, this may be how we've done it, but is it still the right way?' At least ask those type of questions.

" think every successful business, every consistent program, that's a mentality. You can't be satisfied. Because just as soon as you think you've arrived and you're satisfied, then you plateau and then the next thing you know you're on that decline. Now you're not paying attention to the little things. You don't have the sense of urgency because you're fat and happy. And then it's death. The business is closed, or whatever."

is it bad to start the season ranked #4 in the country and then end it by losing by two scores in a baseball stadium to a team with a famously bad offense that fired its coach 3 months ago and whose best win is probably an FCS team? asking for a friend
