I haven't drafted Mystery Booster 2 or Final Fantasy before, so I'll try to do so at least once each during CommandFest Tacoma ✌️

Excited to see what happens. Will there moments of, "Oh, hey, I know you?" I'm prepared for and OK w/ radio silence 😅 It's been 5+ years since I was most active in Magic!

I haven't been to a Magic convention since February 2020, in Reno! Go easy on me, CommandFest Tacoma 😄

Taking it slow with re-immersing myself, so I:
- didn't build any new decks
- only updated ONE of my EDH decks with newer cards that I missed out on from the past few years

Magic has the concept of "the starting player," by which you can refer to other players as not "the starting player."

What's the best term to use for rules text templating to refer to the player who is last in the turn order?

I'm workshopping this:
"You're (the) last (player) in (the) turn order"

I can only imagine how many peeps are scrolling by their Bluesky feed, seeing my responses to Wobbles' ponderings on my earlier post, & making an incorrect assumption about my proxies ethos.

- I play in a 100% proxies webcam league (for a different TCG, but same principle)

- I would proxy any of these Unknown / Playtest cards.

- I want to own a physical object that DOES represent a game piece but its physical nature isn't important to me for gameplay

Adding art would decrease the value I currently find with this card.

It doesn't matter how "beautiful" this thing looks.

It can look like it was written in MS Word, w/ zero graphic design & zero art, for all I care.

There is a Wizards-sanctioned card object out there that is making a statement by pure words alone that means something to my history as a Magic fan.

I also don't see a difference between a Bradley-printed Lightning Bolt & a Wizards-printed Lightning Bolt when it comes to playing games. 🍻

The Wizards-printed object has sentimental value to me whereas a Bradley-printed one does not.

Oh right the date is literally printed on the card lol 🤣
