Had a blast chatting with @taloketo.bsky.social and @king-spooner.bsky.social on the back half of the /noclip Crewcast last week. Lots of chat about their approaches to dev, crafting their unique style, and plans for their upcoming first person horror game ABIDE! β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈ

Thank you very much! I donβt get tired of Sleepy Time lol. Was even thinking of remaking it in Unity so I can distribute it more sometime.

A great take. As an additional more obvious take Iβll add a practicing psychotherapists ( @eurobrady.bsky.social ) on can playing games heal (yes, of course, but it adds value to get the thought pattern of a mental health specialist leading to that)

Art, to me, is self reflection.
It's why I'm so unbearably passionate about what our media is saying and what it all means & why I maybe come off a little harsh sometimes.
Anyway, Talha has a great video talking about his perspective and I appreciate it a lot. Check it out.

It's a really good video and interesting look at how game development is essentially therapeutic journaling.
I know for me and others writing about this art has therapeutic effects as well as we chronicle how these themes resonate with us and share what we've experienced with others
Ooops

07.03.2026 21:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There are several interesting thoughts in this video. The notion of linking people liking your game to them liking you is pretty strong. Also theβfor most of usβunobtainable goal to live off our art. And that games can be a way to reflect on your own story β¦

This spins around to the thought of game development as a kind of therapeutic journalling and
Huh
Not only is that compelling, but it's unfortunately a reasonable explanation for why broken people often seem to make good art
(I'm not saying you must be tormented as an artist! Many of us just are)

Talha's new video is inspiring.
One thing he said made me think and realize: Yes, we don't see ourselves fit in the society; but does the majority of the individuals see themselves fit in the society? Or maybe, are there even people who see themselves fit in the society?
NEW VIDEO: Can game development heal you?

Silly hypothetical question: if you wanted to change something in your game depending on how much of a discount the player has bought the game for, how would you achieve this?
Only thing I can think is just ask them the discount first time they open the game.
I swear this was never an issue in older versions, it happens to me quite regularly now.
