There's *one* thing in the game so far where I'm yelling at the screen cause the character is making a really dumb decision.

But dumb decisions that probably get you killed are the hallmark of horror movies, so it still fits.

I was ready to have flashbacks to my college days when everyone around me was angry that Pokemon X/Y was 3DS exclusive, even though the DS was like 9 years old by then.

ngl I was afraid people would be angry that Pokemon WW was Switch 2 exclusive. But I think everyone's just glad it's finally on a system that has enough power for Gamefreak's uh, optimization level. Plus it helps people have more than a year to get a Switch 2 by then.

This was originally a post about how we don't need AI to write NPC dialogue when we should be focused on making RPG storytelling more efficient again. Nothing wrong with being cinematic, but we should respect the player's time.

If the writer didn't care to write dialogue, I don't wanna read it.

RPG NPCs used to be like "Welcome to faminetown" and there'd be several hungry NPCs and you're like "Guess I gotta help"

Now there's a whole voiced 30 minute cinematic introducing the town with mo-capped NPCs explaining the entire history of the town's great plague, begging the player to aid them.

I'm of the opinion that no remake of a game can ever truly replace the original experience. Sure it *can* be better in subjective and objective ways, but the originals still exist and should be played

Often times people get angry at a remake for "changing" things, but I just take it as "two cakes"

When I visited the Capcom store in Japan, the fans MOST excited to be there were the Ace Attorney ones.

I reminded everyone "We came all the way to Japan for this", then we all proceeded to stuff our shopping baskets with Ace Attorney merch
