"Schitt's Creek" CBC-TV season one promotional still, 2015. Catherine O'Hara as Moira Rose. PLOT: A wealthy, spoiled family (O'Hara, Annie Murphy, show creator/writers Eugene Levy and Daniel Levy) discovers their business manager has embezzled the family fortune. They are forced to re-locate to a town they once purchased as a joke: Schitt's Creek. The Levys had developed the show and originally asked O'Hara to appear in just the pilot. Having her in the pilot sold the show to the CBC and Catherine agreed to continue with the series. A lone cable network in America - Pop - became a co-producer in order to air the show on their network. Good move.

In 1984, Tim Burton made an animated short film of the same name that put him on the map. For years, he wanted to make a full-length movie in the style of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and got his chance. He immediately hired O'Hara for a series of voices as well as Martin Short, Winona Ryder, and Martin Landau.

Former cast members of "SCTV" reunited at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, CO - March 6, 1999.

PLOT: An aspiring director (co-writer/co-star/director Christopher Guest) and the marginally talented amateur cast (including O'Hara and Willard) of a hokey small-town Missouri musical production go overboard when they learn that someone from Broadway will be in attendance. This was the first teaming of the writers/cast of "This Is Spinal Tap" (Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer) and members of SCTV (O'Hara, Willard, co-writer Eugene Levy). They surrounded themselves with other talented improvisers (Parker Posey, Jennifer Coolidge, Bob Balaban, and others) to revive the mockumentary genre.
