Yeah it uses webgl effects to darken and grayscale the image.

I don't think a Remix OST is uploaded in one place yet. It's done by multiple people which makes it a bit harder for anyone else to do that.

The game can export to Mac and Linux by virtue of the EXE runtime is NWjs, so it'll be able to check which OS you're running it on and automatically download the appropriate zip file(s) for you to extract to update it.

lol but then a lot of talented people wanted to remake it, so it became possible for it to be more like Wily Wars in graphics. But people also like NES more so might as well do both.

It's not that hard to implement in the way it's done, though the amount of songs you need is a lot of time and hard work. The original version was meant to have Wily Wars style graphics, but I (Mike) am not that good at graphics, so I went with NES to make it less impossible.

It varies between default and NES, but you can swap at anytime with options saved states or the options menu.

It's kind of funny in that you pull it off by putting a txt file in a server for it to check. The txt file just has a version number in it. If higher than your version, make the game say a new version is available. It's like smoke and mirrors in how uncomplicated it is. Lol

We have the basic update check in the title screen set up now to tell you if a new version is available and click to download. It even helps us on the dev team to make sure we're using the same versions without needing to check Discord.

The whole spreadsheet of progress for the 27 stages that will be in initial release. There's more stages, but they will be in an update.

That's 100% done now and we're finishing up cutscenes and more extensive testing.
