I'm so excited to be attending my FIRST book festival! I'll be at the @bigfootkidsbookfest at Redmond Senior and Community Center on Saturday Oct 11 from 10 am- 4 pm.
There will be storytimes, author and illustrator signings, and fun activities. The festival is free and open to all ages!

I am so excited to share my 3rd (!!!) author-illustrator picture book, EMERY IS NOT A DRAGON! This one is near to my heart and a merging of my Chinese culture and my queer identity. It's inspired by all the times I've seen kids reject gender stereotypes and live joyfully as themselves.

From the first time I read Kimberly's manuscript for 100 DAYS, I immediately thought of me and my own brother. Like Anya, I was super jealous when he was born--and I used this pic of my own hilarious mad lil face as a reference for the interior art!
