Vegetarian researcher working with mice is responsible for less animal suffering than a meat eating person by an enormous margin.
Not a reason to drop the 3R though. Rather a good reason to go vege 🥕

I’m thrilled to share that my PhD work has been just published in Cell. After a long and bumpy ride, we uncovered the core function of nuclear speckles -splicing of GC-levelled exons- and traced the evolution of this gene architecture and condensates themselves to amniotes.

Re-adenylation by TENT5A enhances efficacy of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines - Nature Upon intramuscular administration, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are primarily taken up by macrophages, in which the cellular machinery extends their poly(A) tails, thereby increasing mRNA stability and translation, providing an explanation for the efficacy of these vaccines.

Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu ⬇️

It actually can. Im learning writing with AI: I give sentences -> chatbot corrects them-> I learn to write better. Last few months of throwing ideas at chatbot taught me more about impactful writing than all the courses previously. Granted you need to pre-prompt it, because vanilla Ai style is awful

Schools eventually will need to adjust their teaching methodology to the emerging technologies. Dumping homework on kids didn't really work either way. Now it won't work at all. We need fresh ideas about schooling.

Academics should really consider moving off X. Staying there is giving the platform credibility, so it can algorithmically disseminate propaganda.
I logged into X from polish IP recently and was appalled by the level of pro-russian and anti-EU propaganda directly in my feed.
