Last night, Law's a Drag held its first ever CABARET!

We mixed lip syncs, comedy, and dance with a Q&A on the For Woman Scotland UKSC judgment, providing info about how it will affect equality law, and the lives of drag artists, and trans, nonbinary, intersex, and cis people in the UK

Additional info poster. This cabaret is a response to the FWS judgment in the UK supreme court, which devided that trans women aren't women, and trans men aren't men. We say, fuck that! Join us for a fun, furious festival to fundraise for trans rights legal causes! Tickets cost just £5. All proceeds will be received by Dr James Greenwood-Reeves and donated to the Good Law Project's fighting fund for trans rights and the advancement of teans people's welfare. Tickets can be bought online or on the door. Some performances may present difficult or adult themes, audience members must be 18 years or older.

Planning ahead to see which conferences / events would be cool to go to - there's events on legal design, the Gikii conference and an event in inclusive legal education, which I all love. All are taking place on the same day in September.

This was such a fun & amazing event! We developed some clear principles for working fairly with drag artists in legal research projects. We also demonstrated how effective forum theatre is as a legal research method!
