He just doesn’t seem to trust the young lads, does he? Howe has many strengths but sometimes his aversion to risk lets him down.

Agreed. PSR will have been a limiting factor too.

Completely agree with you. Just think maybe Isak’s ability to dig us out of a hole/shift the momentum in matches was maybe covering up a weakness that is now being exposed.

01.03.2026 08:39 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Spot on. Plus I think his departure massively shocked a tight knit squad and knocked their confidence.

01.03.2026 08:16 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly. I’ve seen Villa fans saying they’ll need to sell someone like Rogers even if they qualify for the CL this season. It’s so rigged.

You’re absolutely right. Scoring two goals at home should be enough to win you the game. Daft mistakes are costing us massively.

It goes beyond personnel, for me. Isak’s behaviour and ultimate departure has had some sort of long-lasting psychological effect on the players. Confidence, belief in the project, patterns of play have all taken a hit. Nothing has happened off the pitch to reassure anybody either.

28.02.2026 19:19 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Definitely. Willock was fine for our ambition in the Ashley era but his time is over. Trippier and Pope’s race is run too. This summer needs to be massive. Howe will not be afforded another season like this.

28.02.2026 17:22 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Those are two I had in mind. Willock needs to move on and Osula is never going to make it at this level.

28.02.2026 17:16 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

There’s a few players out there today who need to be told thanks for your efforts but you’ll be gone or nowhere near the first team next season. We’re making it too hard to win games by chucking in a few goals for the opposition through horrendous mistakes.

28.02.2026 17:10 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s the mistakes for me. We have to score at least three every game because we just chuck in goals for the opposition.

I love them both for different reasons. Mac doesn’t seem in great shape these days. Still brilliant live, though.

Statement re: Gorton and Denton By-election

It takes some doing to turn a 13,000+ majority in 2024 into a catastrophic loss today.

This is not an isolated trend - Labour MPs across the country are told every week by lifelong Labour voters that they won't be voting for the party again under the current leadership & direction.

I have been urging the leadership to change direction since the General Election as a series of dreadful political choices & a monumental effort to chase the Reform vote has led to this.

The leadership has taken its base for granted, despite constant warnings from backbenchers & unions not to.

The lines from PM and Cabinet today essentially labelling the Green Party as extremist is appalling, desperate and frankly embarrassing. It also makes very clear that the leadership has zero understanding of where it has been going wrong.

The party is being destroyed & an urgent change of direction is needed.

When your own MPs are openly calling your response to the Green win an embarrassment then you've got problems

Yeah, patience isn’t popular these days. Everything needs to be perfect now or it’s a complete failure and everything needs ripping up. Long term it may or may not work out for Woltemade but I’m going to enjoy his talent and be patient with him in the meantime.

He also had a role in the build up to both of the goals. His goal scoring record for a young lad from abroad’s debut season in the Premier League is really decent too. I think all the debate is driven by the endless need for content and narrative in the era of social media. Give him time.

That bass line is ridiculous.

Labour's swing toward racism is perhaps the biggest unforced error in British political history; burnt their base to ashes and won them not a single vote on the right.

Main priority would have been, get the game won quickly, conserve energy, avoid injury and suspension. When you’re that far ahead I think it’s easier to switch off whether you want to or not.

25.02.2026 08:00 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Of course, we love him more because he’s local but the lad is also an England international and probably still our best centre back on many occasions. We’ve waltzed through to the last 16 in a dead rubber of a match. No need to be overly critical of anyone really.

Howay man, Dan Burn is an absolute legend! Lost concentration after we were eight goals ahead and had a rusty Botman beside him so absolutely no need to be that negative about him.

Tie over after ten minutes. Got a bit daft at times after that but natural that your concentration might slip when you’re that far ahead. Nowt to worry about. Onwards and upwards! #nufc

[6/7] This wasn't actually the only push on Burn that had the wrong outcome.
Bernardo Silva, already booked, charged him and had no interest in the ball whatsoever. That is as clear as it gets: "no attempt to play the ball" is, by definition, "unsporting behaviour" and reckless. Always a yellow.
