i felt like a lot of AI takes are more nuanced on the other site. AI still sucks massive balls but blind hatred towards it on every single circumstances sucks. saw someone comparing MTL to genAI even though MTL exist way before ai boom. i hate how muddy the convo has become because of tech guys.

Im sorry but this is really reaching it. I don't like it when MTL was used for games, especially something like a VN but i don't think Comparing MTL to gen ai is fair.

This one upset me the most because while the summary was nice, a lot of it is very out of context and its very zun focused and ignore a lot of what other people says there. Genuinely if you want to be a hater, be a knowledgeable hater.

Its not even an "interview". Its group talk with zun and a bunch of his friends. Many of those who has distaste for ai including beatmario. The summary (which got shared around) is very neutral which is really different from the group talk where they Bash ai music and game devs quite a lot lol.

The other reason to believe this is because there's some ai background in 19 as well which is also probably because of the Adobe stock images

he's been using stock photos for 20 years and got no problem from it. So i don't see the reason why he changed his method.

The bg doesnt seems to be generated from gpt model as its very inconsistent and i doubt zun know how to use SD and other diffussion model. So its most likely from Photoshop stock images

In the nhk documentation about touhou, zun used Photoshop to draw th14 sprites. I had no reason to believe he switched software. Most likely scenario is that he uses the Adobe stock for the bg, which are full of ai.
