Love it. Also, this picture is making me want to watch Sing Street which of course, is a stylized version of scenes from that picture.

24.01.2026 10:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A beautifully restored, deluxe release of The Panther Women (1967). Everything from the artwork to the 80 page booklet is wonderful. I remember accidentally seeing parts of this film during my childhood on Mexican broadcast reruns and my parents always turning the TV off for fear it'd be too much.

"And I'm gone gone gone, now I'm older than movies, let me dance away, now I'm wiser than dreams" on David Bowie's Dead Man Walking hits so different 29 years later.
It's fascinating how lyrics evolve as time passes and what was once only a brilliant lyric, you feel you now embody it.
Re: all the posts. I agree and between those posts and playing this set all day today, it was the first time I've been able to joyously celebrate his passing with a touch of gratitude and a sense of "yeah, I was there when those albums came out and they changed my life". It's been a great adventure.
11.01.2026 12:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You're so right on both counts. I don't ever remember Black Tie, White Noise ever sounding this good. Earthling sounds so modern, even after all this time. And oh my, Toy is such a wonderful collection. His vocal performances are something else. I keep replaying Shadow Man. I could go on and on...

10.01.2026 10:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thank you, Paul. Really looking forward to hearing Toy for the very first time. It's the only album I've never gotten around to owning and listening despite being out for some time now.
The extras collection looks amazing as well and owning all the albums on vinyl for the first time is exciting.
I was gifted this set for Christmas by the kiddo and her mother but for busy reasons, I've not had a chance to listen.
But life is a little more manageable this weekend. Or perhaps it's the universe's way of creating beautiful synchronicity.
Either way your absence still weighs heavy, Mr. Bowie. ๐ค
Thanks, David. Glad you enjoy the picture. ๐
And what a luxury it must be for big music acts to have people dedicated to mixing their musical output. If I ever play the lottery and win, the first thing I am doing is having a mixing engineer on retainer. ๐

Had a hiccup last week on how a small section of a track translated from mix to master.
It's amazing how just 30 seconds of a 40 minute album can sour the whole thing until the issue is taken care of. I did finally find a solution but it took 6 days to do so.
Mixing music sucks all joy of life. ๐คฎ
