hahaa that is so funny! I didn't have a problem with them on my first read but I'm reading her previous book now and it PMO that it's the same archetype. It's like she likes this dainty woman that gets beat up by men that secretly desire her. It's like can't they just be cool? DAMN.

that was one of my top 5 reads this year <3 I love her style of writing but I'm glad I read this book first because her other books are like literally a copy and paste of each other..

update to add: the worst book I've read thus far is Wild Love by elsie silver... it tried to be a slow burn & turned into a snooze fest. The plot was as generic as Berkley Jensen toilet paper 😒 passssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Ok just read the Kiss of the Basilisk and ngl I had to walk away from that one (& came back to it). Like. I was able to guess how certain things were gonna unfold & it still held some surprising components. Not gonna list it in my top anything but. IDK. I didn't hate it.

Recently finished Forged In Blood and am currently reading book 2 Promised in Blood by Sadie Kincaid and it's... okay I guess.

No woman has that much stamina tho... even an elementai like c'mon be soooooo fkn for real rn
