This Is some art I’ve made for Decomposer, a graphic novel written by Mason McDonald. The book is well on it’s way to being finished but we’ve set up a Kickstarter to help us complete it. I’d really appreciate if you’d have a look at the page (link below) and consider helping us out. Thanks!

On top of everything else, oil and gas prices are going to spike because of Trump’s war in Iran.

But guess what doesn’t get disrupted by wars?

Renewable energy. Solar. Wind. Geothermal. Storage.

I mean, who could have predicted that handing over the deadliest military in history to one of the most abusive, corrupt, laziest, incurious, and self-obsessed men in American history during the fall of the empire would be a bad idea

Picture of Marjane Satrapi alongside a quote from her. The quote reads:

The world is not divided into countries. The world is not divided between East and West. You are American, I am Iranian, we don't know each other, but we talk together and we understand each other perfectly. The difference between you and your government is much bigger than the difference between you and me. And the difference between me and my government is much bigger than the difference between me and you.

And our governments are very much the same...

Thinking about this quote from Persepolis creator Marjane Satrapi again.

A healthy film industry makes sleazy movies. Weird, borderline kink films are like coal mine canaries- they're offensive, often deeply personal, and a foil to the clean blandness of big budget propaganda. A lack of bizarre "not to everyone's taste" films is an indicator of a sickly studio ecosystem.

Quote from Michael Polllan’s 2013 book β€œCooked”

Well, in a world where so few of us are obliged to cook at all anymore, to choose to do so is to lodge a protest against specialization-against the total rationalization of life. Against the infiltration of commercial interests into every last cranny of our lives. To cook for the pleasure of it, to devote a portion of our leisure to it, is to declare our independence from the corporations seeking to organize our every waking moment into yet another occasion for consumption. (Come to think of it, our nonwaking moments as well: Ambien, anyone?) It is to reject the debilitating notion that, at least while we're at home, production is work best done by someone else, and the only legitimate form of leisure is consumption. This dependence marketers call "freedom.

We as a species have spent a lot of time and effort finding more dignified ways to eat fruit, but does it ever actually taste better than just messily housing it over the sink while you get covered in juice

of the two articles currently circulating about Sheri’s Ranch which feature Jupiter Jetson, this one is way more worth your time. there is a fascinating and important story in the unfolding workers’ rights movement in Nevada’s legal brothels that will resonate with anyone who’s been a contractor

IMHO, it is important that Woke 2 be deemed "excessive" by historians, "sweeping too broadly" with "punishments too severe." It cannot be merely a course correction, it must be an overcorrection. Nothing less will serve as an adequate deterrent against the fascists and their collaborators.

Trump’s beef trade deal is a lose-lose gamble that won't lower prices There's no two ways about it: Eating more beef is bad for the planet and the climate.

Importing beef = exporting US climate impacts. Despite the hype about local food, both grass-fed & industrial beef are destructive and flawed systems.

β€œTo me, the only answer is, we need to eat less beef” says @profsecchi.bsky.social

Import/export less too.

We take for granted the abundance and quantity of meat in the modern diet, when historically meat was special and it was used and consumed quite consciously. It was expensive, and for a reason. We’ve chosen to trade that monetary cost for less visible ones, but it’s still very, Very costly.

25.02.2026 23:37 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

As a card-carrying vegan envionrnmentalist I don’t think you have to QUIT meat. Reduction itself will have HUGE positive impacts! Quitting isn’t for everyone. But of all things, meat should be the thing we are MOST mindful of on our plate because it has such an outsized and under-discussed impact.

Anyway if you like humans, like wildlife and forests and hate AI and would NEVER use ChatGPT, I would kindly really encourage you to consider reducing or eliminating your consumption of beef! Consider other options, especially more sustainable ones!

There is no coincidence in the rise of fascism and the rise of beef production and consumption. I mean they’re openly PUSHING it. There are few foods as inherently nationalistic and colonial as beef. Cattle are America’s modern manifest destiny, even when other countries are raising it.

25.02.2026 23:28 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Oh I BELIEVE IT. That and raw milk being a way to push a product they already have but spend even less money processing it while passing on the safety risks to the consumer!

25.02.2026 23:25 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Beef and fossil fuel are the two biggest, completely optional dependencies of our society that are basically net bad. And even fossil fuel I think you can at least make a more complex argument about its use in developing countries being more of a necessary evil than you can about BEEF.

25.02.2026 23:23 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And it’s STILL controversial to say, maybe we eat less of this. Such is the power of big-ag and decades of wooing the public, globally and abroad. Decades of policy shaping and β€œdonations” and publically obfuscating facts about climate change so that even in climate journals, beef is a sidebar.

that MAGA and facists are BEGGING us to eat more of (which should really be all the red flag you need), it contributes POTENT green house gasses and it’s projected to keep growing and growing despite us already using most of the viable land on earth.

As an industry it guzzles water, it plows through millions of tonnes of food, it destroys and monocultures land, it takes away human homes and poisons others. And in return we get an expensive food that isn’t very good for us at the quantities we eat it, that crowds out other heritage meats

25.02.2026 23:14 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

*easy money for big companies and landowners of undeveloped land. It’s very hard money for small farmers, who do not stand to gain anything, and in fact lose out the more beef is eaten. They can’t keep up with mega producers and are forced out of business very often.
