Since comedy is my big thing, also want to recommend Mel Brooks movies. Very similar but their own thing and amazing stuff.

Aside from the Naked Gun series, I highly reccomend Airplane!, it's a classic and nonstop with these jokes.

The series is great. All the Zucker bros comedies are like this.

Likely ONE, as Murata just does the art. ONE writes the story (and he is a very good writer, unsure why this even occured, maybe he figured out a better way to tell things twice over?) This did last ages but thankfully Murata is past this point now IRL and things are good again.

Ah well yes, that did happen indeed. And it's immensely frustrating, basically Murata is subject to ONE's writing desires, I estimate contractual, so ONE said what he had didn't represent what he wanted or needed and it happened I guess.
