I have an even worse feeling about THIS:

The tactic isn’t just criticism wrapped in care. What they do is make confidence feel unsafe. Why they do it is to keep control without ever raising their voice. How they do it is through subtle corrections, small hesitations, and quiet comparisons that make the target question their own instincts. Pathological abusers use doubt like slow poison. One day it’s a small comment about how something “might not work out.” The next, it’s a suggestion to “be careful not to fail.” Bit by bit, those words take root until even simple choices feel uncertain. The person starts second-guessing everything — what they say, how they think, who they are. That’s what this phase feels like. The mind keeps circling back, replaying their tone, their look, their pause. The FOG — fear, obligation, and guilt — isn’t confusion that just happens. It’s confusion that’s built. Every hesitation and loss of confidence traces back to deliberate conditioning. This kind of manipulation isn’t about love or misunderstanding. It’s about power. Pathological abusers create dependence by making self-trust feel dangerous. The same seeding of doubt appears in Pathological Societal Abuse, when leaders or influencers use concern-framed messages, selective “facts,” and constant shifts in narrative to keep people uncertain about what’s real. Takeaway: Seeds of Doubt shows what plays out during The Season of Fog, when a pathological abuser blurs reality until even truth feels uncertain.
