I took this photo at the 2018 Women’s March in downtown Los Angeles. Near the top someone wrote the truth of the matter:

No Vote = No Voice.

Please call your senators and congress person to tell them to vote no on the SAVE Act, which will disenfranchise women.

It’s an embarrassment that the men’s hockey team partied with a government official. I thought the Olympics were about sports not politics.

BTW, I’ve been to many Maple Leafs and LA Kings games so I’m not just being flippant.

My middle name is Michele.

My parents used it when I was in trouble, “Deborah Michele!”

I only use it with academic publications.

I put the cat toys to bed at night too. They go in a basket which goes in the closet.

The few times I forgot I found a toy mouse on my bed.

The first thing that came to mind was the album Kind of Blue by Miles Davis. So here is one of the songs.

When my dad was a teen he saw Miles play, so his music both makes me smile and makes me blue that my dad is no longer around.
