Whenever big video games are released I get FOMO and feel the need to get them immediately. I was ready to get Marathon till I watched the server slam. Didn't even bother trying it. I kind of want to play it now though, but it all looks so mid for a Bungie title.

One of my comic pet peeves is having to work on a character/costume that was designed for a badass one off illustration and not for interiors on a comic series.

After over a decade (yeesh) I am returning to the X-family of books with a new ongoing series. Being a little rusty I still have to search for character reference. The irony is a ton of the reference I colored back in the day. I'm just too old to remember it.

This was an interesting project. The original cover was "rendered" using Ben Day Dots and flat color. In order to match up the background and surrounding elements I had to frankenstein it from samples of the original scan. The main head being a combo of old and new.

I am a diehard Firestorm fan, so I was super excited to color this.

I've only dabbled, but CS is more of a drawing app where PS is a photo app. In CS you'd have to do the merging yourself. There is an app called Affinity Photo that might do what you want. It's another PS alternative that I think is just a 1 time purchase.

Out today, featuring one of your favorite redheads.

I'm most likely going to go the Clip Studio route soon and that app is the same as the desktop software. Procreate is great for painting, but it's not an all-in-one app when it comes to prepping your files for print.

I don't know if people are aware of what a smash hit BLACK CAT #1 was...I am not seeing as much noise about it as I should, but it was Marvel's TOP-SELLING book for the month and everyone who read it loves it.

There aren't many like Lewis, but the artists that do a ton of rendering in tones require a different type of care when it comes to color. I've seen several colorists get it wrong. Heck, I've gotten it wrong several times.

My favorite memory of my time at Valiant was getting Lewis's pages to color. I tried to horde them like Gollum. He did all the work for me. I just had to not screw them up. Anyone that loves art in general should be backing this project.

I’m really excited about the new engagement news. Xbox and PlayStation finally together at last. Helldivers on Xbox and Gears of War on PSN. Match made in heaven. What a day.

I just discovered the selection brush tool in Photoshop which is hilarious cause it's part of the selection tool menu that I use a million times a day. Apparently, it has been there for over a year. I am gud at my job.
