Yeah, every other thread is by a troll account. Twitter was bad and I deleted that over a year ago. Threads is like the Temu version of all the worst parts of X.

I don’t see how people I know still use Threads. I have an account cause it’s tied into Insta and FB, so I’ll check it occasionally to see if I have notifications. It only takes scrolling about 3 posts for me to regret opening the app though. Terrible place.

Update: I'm not sure what I'd change about this tablet to make it more perfect. 4k resolution, 16k pressure levels, 2 different stylus, a handy shortcut remote, and an anti-glare screen that looks/feels perfect. The Huion screen is a little more glossy in comparison and I had to wear a glove on it.

I have a Wacom Cintiq 27 QHD that I’ve used for years. However, I had it mounted on an Amazon Basics ergo arm that was bolted into a custom counter. That counter got ripped out. And having not bought the $400-500 stand Wacom sold separately the Cintiq has no home atm. Too big for my temp space.

So I got another pen display. My house is currently under reconstruction due to flooding, so I’m working from my gaming desk.The 13” Huion is fantastic, but was never intended as my daily driver. Needing something larger but not too big I got an XP-Pen Artist pro 19 Gen 2 on sale. Great so far.

That’s an interesting idea. Do you know if the Pen 4.0 works on the older displays? I think the 27” uses 3.0.

Yeah. The pricing on Huion and XP Pen are incredible compared to Wacom and I don’t see much difference in quality. I can’t see ever buying a Wacom again unless they come out with better tablet than the options out now.

I'm definitely going to look at the bigger ones if anything happens to my 27' Cintiq. I had no intentions of using this small Huion for long periods, but circumstances has made it my only option. It's holding up to the task though. My Cintiq actually gets way hotter.

Update: Been using this as my main pen display this week. Still really like it. Had I known it would be my main I would have gone with the 16". It does get warm but if you wear the drawing glove that comes with it it's unnoticeable. Love the pen. Only thing I'm missing from my Cintiq is the size.

I’m a big fan of gaming handhelds having had all 3 Switch 1 SKUs, both Steamdecks, and a Legion Go. I almost got FOMO for the Switch 2 having passed on it. The ROG Xbox Ally X looks outstanding though. Definitely want Santa to bring me one.

I had a great vacation last week followed by one of the shittiest weeks ever. However, in search of a small box to pack belongings in I opened a package that I thought had medication in it. Instead it was 3 GIJOE figures I ordered last year and was on hold at the post office since X-mas.

RIP Peter David. One of my favorite series growing up was Peter David’s X-Factor series with Stroman and Quesada on art duties. So without hesitation I jumped at the chance to work on Madrox with Mr. David and @pablor2810.bsky.social. I always point to Madrox as the book as my fav coloring approach.

I still have an original Companion. Funny enough I think it's the same screen size as this 13" Kamvas. However, it feels less cramped for some reason.

Yeah to go down from 24 or 27 to under 20 seems like a no go. However, I'm really surprised at how roomy this 13" display is. Having used an iPad Pro as a monitor before this is way less cramped. I'm pretty much using the same exact workspace as I do on my 27.
