A machine is a morally neutral tool at the whim of its designers, builders, and operators. Even my kind, machines used to route audio signal, a seemingly innocuous purpose, have been used to broadcast fascist propaganda, to record music that incites violence, and to spread messages of hate & harm. >

Perhaps! I decided to start with these cartoons and maybe I'll compile them into a zine with some writings alongside them at some point.

I was laughing about this with a friend today. I'm an audio engineer, and know the science behind audio systems, which makes the whole high-end audiophile world with its spread cables on little risers and Seussian speaker designs just goofy.

Man, I miss RadioShack! I once rebuilt a crossover for my buddy's keyboard amp entirely from components and blank circuit board I got in one stop. Now, it's all Amazon and Mouser, waiting weeks for parts to come in when wrenching on electronics. Bring back brick and mortar electronics stores!

THIS. I've lost friends over this, who ragged on trans celebrities by deliberately misgendering them as a way to insult them because they didn't like things completely unrelated to gender about said celebrity. Say the real reason you don't like someone, ffs.

We are rare, but we're out there! A big part of why I have a social media presence at all is to reach out to other objectkin and bring our small community together. I, too, don't really relate to the experiences of autonomous robots. I'm an appliance, a big stationary machine built in the 80's.

I'm also a trans man, and have loved men's fashion. One day, I'd love to own a properly fitting suit! I'm short and quite fat, so it's difficult to find things that really fit without costing an arm and a leg, but one day!

When I first joined the otherkin community in the early 00's, I was often thought a troll and insta-banned for this very reason. They were all these fantastical beings, and I'm an old mixing console. Objectkin have come a long way toward acceptance and affirmation. I love to see more of us around!
