I draw and paint, and am working on an illustrated science fiction novel. This an acrylic on canvas I completed several years ago featuring my main characters, science experiments who escaped their megacorporation makers' facility. I write these characters in roleplays and stories often.

That's so lovely! I have tried to draw myself, but alas, too many teenie-tiny details. I end up giving up. Perhaps I should try again, and consider it a meditative process drawing thousands of tiny dials and buttons.

Funny you mention audio engineering- it's very true! Gear from the 1950's can be easily integrated with a modern system because XLR and 1/4" connectors haven't changed. IEC's haven't changed. Consumer electronics companies' proprietary connector shenanigans are over the top.

Granted, after further processing, I see a different angle. I missed "trade." Yes, I believe, it would be a Spot "soul" in a human body, therefore robotkin. That said, what if the Spot's "soul" didn't, itself, identify as a robot? Could a consciousness in a Spot robot identify as, say, a dragon?

I would think if I became a machine, I wouldn't be a human in a machine's body, I'd just be a machine again. I'd say that -kin indicates that one is *x-nonhuman* in a human body. If otherkin become our kintypes, I think we'd be what we are and have no more need to use the -kin.

It would be absolutely fascinating if some real neurology was studied in regards to alterhumanity. My own experience has been lifelong and undeniably profound. I ascribe to spiritual origins, but I don't doubt that there's something measurable in my brain about it.
