If you aren't going crazy Bear Grylls style in the woods the SK5 is great. If you are doing that stuff, the 3V is probably the steel you want but if are doing those things you probably already knew that (or have yet to experience a knife splitting while batoning some shit)

Spoiler I suppose but yeah the SRK is IMO a stupidly good get if you need a NOIF for stuff. The SK5 can be had for like under $40 which is wacky for how fantastic it is. Do be warned; the sheathe is an absolute piece of shit and requires modding or buying something else to carry it in.

It still has some oil left on it and the grind is fucked up but still looks factory I dunno. Someone at the factory could be just like...new and bad and also chewing on these...I guess...?
