The oracle of awful.
The fountain of fail.
The spigot of spite.

Faucet? I barely touched it!

It's a mixer - you can dribble hot, warm or cold water on your shoes, as is your want. And you get to inspect the water before it falls, in case you don't like the look of it.

Both patience and pause are virtues!

Somebody chose this. "No, not that boring one, the one that looks like a water feature in a overwrought shopping mall!"

There's an apparent yearning for a strong daddy to make everything all right, and who might even voice his approval. It's deeply sad, really. A vast hole they'll never fill.

Not in a Polestar. The throttle and brake control is incredibly finely tuned.

Adaptive cruise control is a bit Leeroy Jenkins though.

If you want to know how the British print news industry ends (which is, de facto, amazingly still what supports most newspaper websites) it's the distribution channels getting banjaxed. When you lose "TG Jones" etc even people who want a paper can't get one. That'll be the real start of the ending.

The remains of Gwylfa Hiraethog, which have been an iconic local ruin my whole life. As it deteriorates I hark back to the greater ruin it once was - silhouetted gables defiant on the horizon.

Nominative Determinism.

They're very easy to find - just buy a replacement and the old ones will launch themselves out of cupboards at you.

How Much I Dislike the Daily MailΒ
Β
I would ratherΒ
eat Quavers that are six weeks stale,Β
blow dry the man bun of Gareth Bale,Β
listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail,Β
than read one page of the Daily Mail.Β
Β
If I was boredΒ
in a waiting room in Perivale,Β
on a twelve-hour trip on Network Rail,Β
halfway through a circumnavigational sail,Β
I would not read the Daily Mail.Β
Β
I would happily readΒ
the autobiography of Dan Quayle,Β
1001 Things You Can Do With Kale,Β
selected scripts from Emmerdale,
if it meant I didn’t have to read the Daily Mail.Β
Β
Far better toΒ
stand outside in a storm of hail,Β
scratch a blackboard with a fingernail,Β
be swallowed by a humpback whale,Β
than have to read the Daily Mail.Β

If I was blind Β

I still would not read the Daily Mail.Β

The Telegraph have a funny way of spelling "Brexit" and "immigrant".

Probably not the best time to post this, but are any folks in the UK interested in either an old BBC micro or a slightly younger Acorn Archimedes? No idea if they’re still working.
