Ik word onnozel van hoe Vlaamse media over de EU bericht geeft. Neen, chat control is niet 'geschrapt door de EU'. De EU is niet één institutie die dingen zomaar kan voorstellen en schrappen. En dat zal dus niet voor morgen zijn.

Brussels is not Belgium's problem, and if some perceive it as such and consequently decide to solve that "problem" by underinvesting in education than you are just working towards completing a self-fulfilling prophecy.

For example: VUB recently introduced a BSc in Artificial Intelligence. Belgium, with Brussels, brings an important contribution to Europe's intellectual economy. If we want Europe to succeed, investment in education should never ever be a debate.

Long time since I ranted about something political here but here it goes: the Flemish gov has decided to underinvest in Flemish education in Brussels. This withholds funds to VUB and EhB - excellent university institutions that have made an important effort in offering innovative educational paths.
