A man asked me last night what publishing needs to do for literary fiction to begin appealing to men again. I said, as nicely as I could, that, with over 2,000 books published every Tuesday, of which many would appeal to men, it’s not a publishing problem, it’s a men problem.

Pew Research Institute (2023):

β€’ Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

β€’ Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

β€’ Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

The Position of the Sun by Neal Lulofs β€” The Normal School I can’t help but wonder what my life would have been like if my father hadn’t been driving through that intersection at that moment. Would I have stayed in college? Would I have been a better person? ...

Autism phenotype versus registered diagnosis in Swedish children: prevalence trends over 10 years in general population samples Objective To compare the annual prevalence of the autism symptom phenotype and of registered diagnoses for autism spectrum disorder during a 10 year period in children. Design Population based study....

A large study in Sweden found levels of autism *symptoms* were constant over time, even as autism *diagnoses* increased (implying broadening diagnostic criteria rather than real underlying increase) www.bmj.com/content/350/...

No, the meeting did not go badly for Ukraine. It exposed in the most undeniable, unequivocal way possible the pro-Putin commitments of the president and vice president. That was information Americans and allies needed to have clear before them.

BREAKING: In a stunning moment of defiance, Maine's Governor Janet Mills stands up to Trump, saying she is complying with state and federal (anti-discrimination) law, and will see him in court over his threat to withhold federal funds.

This is incredible.

I’ll never get over that all of this was avoidable and our kids could’ve had a better future had voters just made the obviously rational choice in November. It’s water under the bridge now. But what the fuck, people.

Tweet by Bharat Ramamurti criticizing Joe Manchin for allegedly consigning millions of children to poverty due to his belief that poor parents used 2021 child tax credit payments to buy drugs. Below is a tweet by Josh McCabe refuting this, stating, 'Study confirms parents didn’t use their CTC to buy drugs in 2021,' with a quote from the study noting no significant association between child tax credit payments and drug use.

Remember the FBI informant who claimed President Biden took millions in bribes from Burisma?

He admitted today in federal court that he made the whole thing up.

And that he started spinning new lies after meeting with Russian intelligence.
