If we gave even a tenth of the attention to the solutions as we give to the problems of FPTP, we would’ve secured PR a decade ago.

End the madness Labour, and back equal votes for all.

Wall-to-wall coverage of a defection from one party to another, neither of which are in government.

The lobby is addicted to drama. Reform and the Tories serve up drama. And then this forms the majority of the day's news.

Infuriating.

Our information environment is in such a mess.

WHY is this a news alert?

No wonder everyone's morale is low.

The nonsense opinion, of a deliberately-inflammatory man, being pushed to thousands of people. For what purpose?

The incoming Home Secretary must end the dangerous misuse of terrorism legislation, but it may already be too late, writes Cal Roscow, Director of Campaigns at Best for Britain.

Gosh who could have predicted this.

Quite galling for IDS to comment seeing as when he was in govt control of our nuclear power stations was being sold to πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³ companies.

Some things just need to be under national control. (Not confident seeing as we are still not ending πŸ’§privatisation)

A point not made enough: the UK runs a trade goods deficit with the US so shouldn’t be paying any tariffs at all based on the White House formula (10% is not a β€œwin”).

Four years ago I took these photos of deserted Soho.

Which also serve as an artist's impression of what the new residents trying to close all the decades-old nightlife venues down would like it to be like permanently.

Welsh tourist in US chained 'like Hannibal Lecter' Becky Burke's parents say her legs, waist and hands were secured by US immigration officers.

Obviously I am glad that she is home.

But if you think it was unacceptable for a white woman from Wales to be chained up and treated like this, why is it acceptable for anyone to be treated like this?

Seriously lacking aspect of the conversation.

...this means that everyone working full time will start repaying student loans from Plan 5 immediately.

Tesco trials giant trolley scales in Gateshead Trolleys are weighed before checkout to identify any items customers might have missed or scanned twice.

Honestly I don't know why anyone goes to Tesco any more. This feels so over-the-top. Weighing your trolley to check for shoplifting? Just f*ck off - scan them at the checkout for me like before if you're so worried?

All of this instead of just employing more people.

A statement from Best for Britain's Director of Campaigns I’m trying very hard not to open by saying β€œthe world has changed” because it’s been said in every op-ed, Substack, and podcast this week. But, the world really has changed. There is only before that ...

"Some will argue that issues around moving fruit and veg through ports now seems trivial. But I would argue that their triviality is exactly why we must get them out of the way as quickly as possible" bravo @calroscow.bsky.social

this is obviously bleak and horrid and I know it's a petty thing to point out but: god we fucking told you so, lesbians and gay men who decided to become transphobic for no apparent reason, we told you the entire LGBTQ community would end up getting screwed over, this was always going to happen
