Text of a Christian prayer from Common Worship, overlaid on a background of sunlit green grass with soft focus. The prayer reads: "God of life and love, whose risen Son called Mary Magdalene by name and sent her to tell of his resurrection to his apostles: in your mercy, help us, who have been united with him in this eucharist, to proclaim the good news that he is alive and reigns, now and for ever."
I love how this was picked up in the Post-Communion prayer too.
And I love that we use our Vespers for Apostles and Evangelists today.
Joy all around. Happy feast!

Text reading "I have seen the Lord!" in white font, centered against a gradient sky transitioning from deep blue to orange over silhouetted hills at sunset. Below the quote is the Bible reference "John 20:18".
One of my favourite feast days today as we celebrate Mary Magdalene, Apostle to the Apostles.
The reading from John 20 at Eucharist today had me beaming with joy at the way that Jesus names Mary, and sends her to proclaim his resurrection.

Happy Feast of St. Benedict!
With prayers for all who are inspired by the Rule of St. Benedict, and for all those gathering today for General #Synod. And for Fr. Charlie CR at Mirfield, who makes his Solemn Profession today!

I remember seeing these when I spent a month in Freiburg many years ago - I had a lot of fun photographing them.
