I’m honestly not sure. My data source for movies and series has significant downsides when it comes to translations which would provide a subpar experience as it stands. I’m looking into workarounds but I’m not sure whether I’ll succeed.

Hey! I’m afraid the app isn’t quite ready to be translated. But once it is, you can be sure that French will be one of the first languages to be supported (I’m French) 😁

If only…

A foldable iPhone really doesn't appeal to me. The marginal benefits vs tradeoffs are just not worth the price of those devices (for me). What I want though is an iPad mini that unfolds to be twice the size. This would be a dream portable media consumption device but there's no rumours about it…

I didn’t have to redesign Sequel for iOS 26. Instead, I tried to find synergies with my existing plans that were better served by the new design. Like changes I was reluctant to bring with iOS 18’s aesthetic. In the end, I think the new design genuinely improves the experience. I hope you’ll agree!

I've seen a lot of mixed feelings about Liquid Glass. It’s not perfect, but has improved a lot since beta 1. For Sequel, it just felt like the right fit.

It took a lot of work to keep scrolling smooth and to ensure legibility but I think it was worth it.

There are a lot of subtle changes that build upon feedback I've received in the last couple of years. This also lays the foundation for future improvements and features not possible before.

@getsequel.app’s media details screen is getting a bold redesign for iOS 26. I’ve always put content first by leaning into the richness of the media itself.

Inspired by Liquid Glass’ own focus on content, the new design is both more expressive and more functional.

A new unified search experience is coming to @getsequel.app on iOS 26. Previously, you’d tap the plus button to search online or the top search bar to search locally. If what you searched for wasn’t already saved, you’d then need to search online. The new search tab makes this a lot easier! 👌

I knew Sequel would need tabs someday but I had been kicking that can down the road. I’m glad I did because that new design just clicked!

Thanks to the new design, Sequel on iOS 26 will use tabs so you can access your collections from anywhere. Compared to iOS 18, the new tab design blends better with Sequel's use of artworks, doesn't look awkward with only 3 tabs, and the new search tab works similarly to Sequel's old plus button.

For iOS 26 @getsequel.app will (finally?) switch to a white icon by default. It fits better with the overall Sequel aesthetic and would follow the system light / dark mode. Now with Liquid Glass goodness!

It's hard to believe @getsequel.app was released three years ago today. I started working on it over four years ago now and I never thought this would become my full time job. Thank you all for making this possible 🙏
