In the #TradeWar that #Trump started, he accepts #defeat quietly. In every round, Trump imposed #tariffs, and China retaliated in equal measure. Then Trump escalates, then China responds with the same level of escalation. Until now. He is showing the Chinese his weakness.

Before I read the article I want to guess which #oligarch they are taking about. A lot of the #oligarchs running out federal government give me that feeling, including Lutnick and Bessent, but I suspect this one's about wannabe-Crassus Musk or wannabe-Caesar Trump.

Every move #Trump makes with #tariffs just shows the lack of a real strategy or plan. If the idea was to bring manufacturing jobs to the US, you wouldn't exempt iPhones while levying import taxes on underwear. As a % of cost, underwear is more labor-intensive so more expensive to move here. #trade
