Use the tariff refund to restore ACA subsidies and Medicaid cuts for the year, and to cover the Social Security spending gap.
Then make every candidate in the midterms say how they would fix healthcare and Social Security if elected.

The average tax refund is $225 higher than last year, but the average household paid $1,000 in tariffs.
Income tax is progressive.
Tariffs are regressive.
It is all designed to shift the burden from the rich to the poor, while they lie and pretend they're helping the working class.
I made the post in the screenshots (from X) on Threads, and as soon as it was spreading fast and getting likes, they permanently deactivated my account.
I'm tired of billionaires controlling what we can say. But I also feel I can't use Bluesky because the character count is ridiculously restrictive
Restrictive voter ID and registration laws tip the scales by excluding voters instead of working to win them over.
Everyone deserves a voice and a vote.

Trump RX, Baby Bonds, Tariffs, and Foreign investments are all either overpromised or outright lies.

A new poll finds that 51% of Republicans support solar panels, it increases to 70% if the panels are made in the US.
Yet the Republican Party is the one that killed investment in domestic solar production.
Do Republican voters even know what they're voting for at this point?
When we can honestly say that universal healthcare would cost less, work better, and make the nation healthier, refusing to implement it is not rational. It is greed and stubbornness.
America does not need to choose between compassion and efficiency.
Healthcare for All delivers both.
The 15 wealthiest Americans increased their wealth by $800 billion last year.
Meanwhile, almost half of full-time working Americans are not paid a livable wage.
Absolutely.
A guaranteed minimum income program, such as a negative income tax, would have far better results than the aid programs we use today. And the best part is, we could implement it in place of those programs for no extra cost.

America stopped creating jobs.
US manufacturing is in decline.
The number of unemployed increased by 1 million last year.
Consumer confidence is lower now than during the pandemic.
That's Trump's economy.
"Trump" baby bonds are useless.
The government deposits $1,000.
Then parents are expected to invest $5,000 each year for 18 years = $90,000
Parents who can afford to invest $5,000 each year don't need the $1,000. Those who can't will see only $3,379 by 2043.
There are better ways to help people.
We cannot demand that people succeed on their own while denying them the tools to do so. When they are given those tools, they don’t just improve their own lives. They strengthen the entire nation.

We must end qualified immunity.
It is the only way to hold agents fully accountable for their actions.
Yeah, you really can't just show up places with guns...
Yet when Republicans showed up with guns at Obama speeches, not only were they not shot and killed, they weren't arrested because they didn't violate the law.

Consumer confidence is now at its lowest level in the past 12 years.
That means Trump has managed the economy so poorly that people are more concerned now than they were during a global pandemic that disrupted supply lines and sent inflation skyrocketing.
Complete failure.
Silence is complicity.
You don't get to avoid these serious issues, stay silent out of a worry about what speaking up might do to your brand, your clicks, your follower count, or your sales, and then claim that you aren't part of the problem.
Government is meant to serve the people, not brutalize them.
🔸Unmask federal agents.
🔸End all qualified immunity.
🔸Prosecute every agent who has used excessive force or violated constitutional rights.
Any Second Amendment crusader who is silent today is a hypocrite forever.

US citizens are being executed by federal agents in the streets.
Despite being recorded from multiple angles, they face no consequences as the Trump administration lies to the people about the brutality that we can see with our own eyes.
This is tyranny.
We've all had jobs we didn't like, but having to continually lie to the entire nation to cover for your boss, who mixes up people and even entire nations as he descends into senility, must be soul-crushing.

The $150 billion increase in the military budget this year could have covered:
-Free college and job training
-Free public transit
-Free high-speed internet service
-Housing for all the homeless
America can do a massive amount of good with the budget we already have, but choose not to.
The increase in ICE funding was enough to cover the ACA subsidies that expired.
The increase to the DHS could have covered:
-Universal Pre-K
-Free school lunches and breakfasts
-A federal paid parental leave program
-A $5000 payment to parents for each newborn
-A $5000 baby bond for every newborn
Making sure every American can meet their basic needs does not cost more than what we already spend. Doing so rewards us with less bureaucracy, less waste, and a system that addresses the root causes of hardship.
The only thing missing is the will to fix a system that no longer works.
A president who has a low 38% approval rating wants to impose new high tariffs, which will drive prices higher, to try and force Europe to let us buy Greenland, a purchase most Americans oppose, at a time when we have a $2 trillion deficit and are $38 trillion in debt.

What is Congress doing while your grocery, electricity, and healthcare bills rise?
Passing bills to allow higher-flow showerheads and having a bill signed into law to allow schools to serve whole milk.
When it comes to solving real problems, nothing.
