No doubt a loss is likely today like it is most weeks, but if Albion can show some balls in attack for once and make a game of it then I’ll take some solace from that.

Didn’t deserve the sack when with us. Also did a great job at Sheff Wed. But he’s certainly had a mixed coaching career. I’d welcome him back as he’s such a top man, proper Albion, we need a culture change and he’s a great one for that type of leadership and situation.

I don’t think anyone gets a tune out of this lot. Here’s what one of them made of him being fired last time. It’s a squad full of snakes. I would love TM to return and to oversee a clear out over the summer though. Just the kind of boss we need for League 1, attacking.

Really?? Personally I’d welcome it but after what happened last season, I can’t believe he’d want to come back. Rumoured where?

So here's to you, Jimmy Morrison... West Bromwich Albion fans are crossing their fingers that "Mozza" can deliver a new manager boing

So here's to you, Jimmy Morrison...

Albion fans must hope that Mozza can deliver the new manager boing that Eric Ramsay couldn't inspire, before he joined the sizeable group of Championship coaches sacked for failing to achieve immediate success.

He won’t have that power. He’ll report to Miles, as does Pearce. Miles reports to Patel. Technical director is not a role that means in charge of everything at the club. Miles and Patel will decide on Pearce and it seems they like him and will continue with him. They’ll also choose the manager.

27.02.2026 09:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Price is arriving sometime soon I believe. He won’t have much to do with player recruitment however, that remains Ian Pearce’s remit. Price will oversee the academy, medical dept… that kind of area. It’s unclear who chooses the next head coach. Possibly Patel.

27.02.2026 08:37 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe. I have little faith in a group of players who are plainly shit and in many cases, clearly not that bothered because they’re off this summer.

If Mozza can somehow get a tune out of them then that’s great. I won’t hold my breath however.

27.02.2026 08:16 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Nice piece Chris. Love the insight you have of Mozza.

Interesting what you say of β€œknowing the club” being BS. Can understand that being so for someone who’s time at any club is brief. Yet surely there is also some value for understanding the culture of a place? JM v much part of that at Albion.

I like HasenhΓΌttl, in theory that’s a great shout. No idea if we’d interest him though. He’d also no doubt be accused of being like Ismael by some, and you need actual willing runners to play his style of football. But yeah, if you want the job Ralph, come and get it!

I wish Eric Ramsay well. I really hope he makes it as a manager somewhere else. He was not the right man at the right time for Albion, that is clear; but he strikes me as a genuine student of the game, and no doubt he’ll have learned from this difficult experience.

All the best Eric.

I think he’s an excellent leader and man manager, but needs help on the coaching and tactics side. Very similar to Southgate.

Go get a tub thumper Albion. One with the most basic vocabulary, to placate the fans. Proper football man language only please.

Must also play a style that suits the players. No, we don’t actually know what that is either.

Must also accept whatever shite Pearce signs too.

Good luck!

We tried a new coach with different ideas. Everyone moaned until he changed it back to what Mason was doing. And what do you know, that hasn’t worked. The writings on the wall. We’re fucked.

24.02.2026 22:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He’ll change buggar all.

I never thought I’d see a footballer who’s more of a fluffer than Karlan Grant, but well done Isaac Price, you’ve only gone and taken the piss for so long now that you have reached that position. I hope someone else is silly enough to buy you off us this summer. Molumby looked a better 10 than you!

24.02.2026 21:50 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Won’t make any difference if they do or don’t. No manager gets results with this bunch of cowards.

24.02.2026 21:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Honest to god, who would actually want to manage this team? Even in a game where they’re by far the better side, they’re so gutless and unintelligent that they can’t win it. I despair. Sacking Ramsay will improve nothing, they’re cowards.

24.02.2026 21:45 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m not saying I want Martin specifically but I do want someone of his experience and success. We aren’t going to find a perfect option. It’s about finding the right person who fits the clubs ethos and who the players will respect and play for.

23.02.2026 14:36 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He’s had a career of ups and downs. That’s good - people learn from hard times. Must have done something right to go from MK to Swansea to Southampton, where he achieved promotion. Rangers went wrong, yes - just a bad fit for them.

23.02.2026 14:36 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Again, is Skubala excellent or has he done well thanks to Lincoln being a well run club? I just don’t know.

Martin has proven himself at other Championship clubs. He’s an acquired taste of course but he’d be a perfectly sensible appointment.

23.02.2026 13:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Heard him mentioned a few times. Yes he’s done well at Stockport, but that may in part be due to them being a well run club. Take a manager out of a well run club and they can suddenly be found out. Thomas Frank for example.

23.02.2026 13:13 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Thanks man. I agree that a clear out is absolutely necessary, regardless of which league we’re in. Price will become Technical Director, different job to Director… Pearce’s job should absolutely be up for discussion however. I’d like an experienced head coach now please!

23.02.2026 10:33 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

This is meaningless. For all I know his team is shit. He won a league and cup double in Switzerland - how does that square with your statement? And he never became Albion manager anyway.

23.02.2026 10:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He has been. Doesn’t look unfit when he comes on though. I’m wondering if Ramsay doesn’t much fancy him. Another reason for him to be relieved of his duties, unfortunately.

22.02.2026 21:45 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Cheers Chris! Sobering indeed. Where’s the hope?

22.02.2026 21:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Yeah. Ramsay claimed to know our squad well when he took over but it seems he really doesn’t. I don’t mind MJ on the left but he’s certainly been more productive on the right this season. I’d like to see him and Bostock a lot more on their better sides of the pitch.

22.02.2026 21:36 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Agree on Price’s late runs but he should play deeper to make them. Absolutely agree about MJ and Bostock. We have 3 forwards who feed well of crosses yet we set the team up to so rarely get the ball in the area! It’s truly baffling.
