Melissa McCarthy just hosted SNL and when she came out to do her monologue, I realized I cannot look at her without seeing Sean Spicer, or at least, her Sean Spicer. That impression will forever be stuck in my head.

So many music and art venues in the Mission closed during the Google bus era when the techie influx resulted in an eviction crisis that drove many people, including a lot of artists, to the East Bay or beyond. I would love to see an arts renaissance in the Mission.

I have been using words like "disgusting" and "creepy" to describe these men, but I noticed the powerful perlocutionary effect of the word "repulsive" used here instead, like it contains in it the forceful shoving away of, the physical rejection of these men. Feels more apt.

I think this is part of the devaluation of higher education. If there aren't enough white men involved, getting educated becomes "gay" or "too feminine." I mean, that has already started since women outnumbered men in enrollment, but it will only get worse if the numbers go as you predict.
