I dragged some friends up to Bayview Park at 2am last night. Never knew the San Mateo Bridge was visible from up there cos you can't see it during the day. I have fantasized for so long about climbing the hill with only the light it the moon. It was amazing!

It's my birthday today and I got Wordle in two, purple first in Connections and I solved the Mini is 37 seconds. Woot! I also baked a chocolate orange sponge cake, which will be the bottom layer of my 8 layer chocolate orange trifle, a birthday tradition. It takes days to make, minutes to disappear.

If only we had seen evidence of his tendency to have massive meltdowns in his confirmation hearings...

In case you don't recognize the name, Shawkat played Maeby Fünke in Arrested Development.

Normally I wouldn't recommend a TV show where every single character is a selfish, shallow, amoral narcissist. But I'm rewatching Search Party starring Alia Shawkat and enjoying it just as much the second time. It's a brilliant and hilarious satire with a narrative arc that never fails to surprise.
