Az's hairpin isn't really about Nina....it's about Az...while Sett's hairpin is about Nina and protection. Alot of what happens with Az and Nina are about HIM. Such a contrast with Sett

Az's hairpin represents Nina's vow to protect Fortna and Az. While Sett's hairpin represents a good luck charm and his prayers to protect Nina. At the end when the war is over Nina should return Az's hairpin once she has fulfilled her vow.

Nina holds a mirror up to him and he questions himself for months. Btw I don't think Sett was all bad from the start. His guards have respect and affection for him so he must have always been good to them in his own way.

When Nina thinks about everyone she loves, Sett is also on her list but she distinguished him, thinking that he pulled on her heartstrings, that she wanted to hug him...she definitely set him apart from the orhers

That would be a bit farfetched putting them up with Sett Nina though? Idk Maybe Rikachi was toying with us and giving a hint to the endgame. Idk why she used red roses at that stage of the manga: because Sett =Crimson? She needed a red flower? 🌹

Actually the whole set up to Nina's confession to Sett in ch 55 is so carefully done. Himea's talk the Starbian couple, the swallows, Nina thinking about the years to come, Nina feeling everything Sett feels and then confessing, putting a word on her feelings....wondeful

Yes she just held the mirror up...he was do done with himself and life at the bridge he chose to die, not counting on Nina. Thd shock of still being alive and not wanting to be that person anymore madd him shutdown. Only to "wake" to help Nina

Idk how Sensei can switch back after everything Sett and Nina went through together.....especially after that happened with Az. The contrast with Sett is so huge

As awful as Sett was initially to Nina day 2 after meeting him she was told his true intentions, while Az told her he needed her while plotting to assassinate her, until he realized he was wrong and tried to let her go. She made her own choices though

This makes me teary...she understood something very important about Sett, so everything he says in the future is also straight to the point
