As the #PicoIDE campaign on Crowd Supply enters its final hours (www.crowdsupply.com/polpotronics...), @ctrl-alt-rees.com has come out with a fantastic video all about the PicoIDE! And wow it looks good in that baby AT case. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG_t...

Yep, it was also common to find CPUs with a full tube / bag of the thermal paste that was included with the heatsink all smeared above the Die, PCB and the stickers!

This always have triggered me so hard!
I wonder if someone have even encounter the modern equivalent of this level of mass ignorance in the handling of delicate and expensive hardware?

Rewatch complete of Sammo Hung’s action/comedy classic. The three brothers chemistry is unequalled. The humor works while the action and stunt work are amazing. The finale is an all timer with JC vs Urquidez as one of the greatest fights captured on film. Absolutely jaw dropping!

A DX2 50 with a little bit more RAM, higher HDD capacity or a Sound card would had been a better machine for a lot of us than an striped down DX2 66.

Cool trip down to the 90s. I always wanted a DX2 66 but never got to own one back then. I remember exactly what you said here; the DX2 50 was indeed an excellent midrange choice. Not until it was relegated to the bargain bin someone with some sense would have considered it a low-end CPU!

I've heard multiple stories of Tesla drivers not even being aware that they can charge their cars at home.

As in, they lived in a house. They could install a charging station.

But nobody explained that to them when they bought the car and they think Teslas need "special electricity" or some shit.

It always chaps my tits when a game has the system requirements that my Windows XP computer can max out, and yet the oldest OS it supports is Windows 10...

Sorry about the crappy picture, still need to disassemble my phone to get out some crap that is blocking one of the lenses, all pictures get partially out of focus.

I got this 270x185mm AOpen UX855GME s479 board for Banias/Dothan CPUs, the AGP is limited to 4X... still need to test it (the seller still have a couple available) but I kind of remember that the main issue was the shallow depth from the ATX I/O panel to the back, right?

Hello, I wonder if the devices designed to be able to connect a speaker amp on cars OEM stereos might be of good enough quality, these take speaker level audio from your stock head unit and add a line level output.

Criterion releasing K Pop Demon Hunters is a net benefit for everyone - those who like the movie will get a really good home release of it, those who don’t care about the movie will benefit from Criterion having a certified money maker that they can use to help fund more obscure/niche releases

Still looking for a motherboard for this pseudo CRT PC.
Must be mATX, but also not too wide, and an ISA slot would be ideal I guess but even an Asrock K7S41GX would already be fantastic.

Not just a glimpse of Legend of Zelda in action on its 40th birthday in this Japanese commercial, but also of the Famicom Disk System and the kiosks that supported its ecosystem. For 500 yen, you could have an existing game overwritten, and it would supply new disk labels and a manual.
