But I can handle it because college critique sessions conditioned me so.

Here's what I discovered:
Readers are skeptical of my Cozy-Dark Romantasies but are pleasantly surprised by how such an odd combo works.

My readers don't know they're looking for me.

I'm struggling to find where I fit in the bookish space because I write Romantasy with open door, but there's not lots of it, and sometimes I write slow burn, and sometimes it's insta love. And it's not popular on the market because I don'y write shadow daddies, or ACOTAR Fae.

This works for some of them, not all. The first book is almost an insta love that's forbidden, so of course there's separation and in the final book the long awaited HEA.

I'm glad it's working a little. I was never on twitter, insta is hit or miss usually miss

How do I explain to readers that my Romantasy books have smut, but it's more like a little treat for being a good little reader who enjoys the pining and emotional buildup just as much as the steamy, romantic entanglements?

Quilts are amazing! Especially old school quilts with all the different patterns. I'm referring to my writing process being a quilt like experience because I write my books in bits and pieces out of order and then gotta Frankenstein them together at the end. 🤣

God knew I'd be too powerful if I could write a book from beginning to end in chronological order.

But no, I just have to be a quilter. 🙄
