The #ElizabethLine is definitely a success. #Hanwell is absolutely packed at rush hour but busy outside of that and at weekends. It’s about time for #TFL to stop terminating so many westbound trains at Paddington and give us (and Acton Main Line) a more frequent service.

Brent Meadow to Top Locks has been voted Ealing’s favourite walk. With our 50th Anniversary coming up on 29th June, it's great to know how Luke FitzHerbert's vision in fighting to found this 7km green chain of parks is still appreciated. FitzHerbert Walk, part of this walk, is named for him.

It was the brainchild of Luke FitzHerbert, who was one of those larger-than-life characters with bags of energy. A left-wing member of the Bullingdon Club (no, really) and former Irish Guardsman.

This is stomach churning, but essential reading for all Brentsiders.

A blue car on a narrow road with cars parked on the footway both sides leaving little space on the footway for pedestrians. There are dotted lines on the footway to allow parking, but the cars are well beyond them.

I have told this story before, but bringing it here. This street has footway parking on both sides which gives 1 metre of walking space beyond the lines. But, if drivers obey the markings, you can't get a car up the middle. Because residents kept getting tickets, I was asked to look at it. 1/n

Ealing Tories and Lib Dems don't have to bother. The council was captured by the OneEaling types , who now can sit quite happily in the cars going nowhere slowly.

If I was on FB still I'd share this tree planting event to a list of local friends and know that a couple of dozen people would see it. I miss that. Not worth promoting disinformation and hate speech by staying there though. Please do share though, if I heard correctly there are lots to plant!
