Corbyn is keeping quiet on trans rights because the subject is toxic. If he makes a statement he will be attacked by the media, damaging the new party.

Without mentioning names, someone who was diagnosed young (under 25) and struggled during childhood, had surgery and blended in. He would rigorously support these people, but not the others, who he referred to as 'identity trans'

Most cis people think being trans is something we DO, and therefore that transition—names, pronouns, presentation, hormones, surgery, etc.—is something we WANT.

Trans people know being trans is something we ARE, and that transition is something we NEED.

This difference is killing us.

These consultations have not taken on board any trans positive feedback related to trans children's healthcare in the past decade. There have been many of them. Don't waste your time lovely people. Repeatedly hitting ourselves in the face with consultations is an act of self-abuse at this point.
