The right sets the terms of our political discourse in so many ways, one of which is the idea that there isn't enough "debate" and "free speech" on campus.

We need to push back on this. The truth is (speaking for myself as a history prof), I don't really emphasize debate much in my classes/

My son is home for spring break, so we spent a few hours today running around the monuments, eating all the food, and enjoying the sunshine. And of course we came upon some protesters along the way. I love this place so much.

Even if some were to leave Northern VA, I fail to see how a massive, Trump-linked recession in Virginia could be good for the GOP in elections over the next few years. Dems will be pissed & activated. The economy is going to be in the tank, so the “cost of eggs” voters won’t be happy either.
