it’s weird because I mostly feel this way at bigger in-region stuff, haven’t felt the same overstimulation when I go or but that’s more than likely due to the fact I know what I’m getting myself into w those and I’m mentally prepared for it

honestly might make attending bigger tournaments more of a quarterly thing, I feel like I get absurdly overstimulated at bigger events now & I’m able to feel like myself at the chiller events

I definitely want to make it out to special events & def will, but I also gotta protect my peace

came to a very sad realization that the majority of my crew I came up with playing the game have retired and honestly I think regional crews were probably the hypest thing the melee community had to offer aside from the melee games

don’t get me wrong regional crews still exist but not as much 😭

if I make it through this busy season of work, finishing my capstone within the next 2 weeks, and balancing my social life then I will truly think I’m capable of anything

maybe I’ll even reward myself with a post-grad melee trip but I got cabo on deck this fall so we’ll see

sometimes I really struggle to socialize at bigger melee events nowadays after, especially after I stopped drinking - while I’m Cali sober I don’t smoke to the extent I did so it’s like I’m learning to ride a bike

nearly went fully joker mode the other day when I got the full brunt of the “interacting will give me an aneurysm let’s play the game out to time” experience but instead I thugged it out and am looking forward to a wonderful degenerate weekend at Mohegan Sun for GAMERCON :)
