Just heard today of another local school who had a child whose EHCP stated they needed their own room and two adults. But the funding was nowhere near going to cover that. They'd have needing building work for one thing!!!

In my class alone, 52% SEND, 17% EHCP, one of whom has significant medical needs, a life limiting condition and severe global learning delay.Y3 with one TA. I know what each child needs. I just can't provide it in a mainstream class and still teach the other pupils well.

Brought me tears. What a wonderful, wonderful person. An incredible role model.

I was very prepared for George to be a candidate for early eviction from #Strictly. But he's actually quite good. My teenaged son is delighted and gutted in equal measure. πŸ˜‚

He's probably a bit out of his comfort zone audience-wise, as well dancing. His usual target demographic is teenaged boys, football fans etc. My son has watched him and he can be quite funny in his own territory.

I couldn't get to the end of tonight's even. Just too long all at once. I wish they'd do the first one in 2 parts like they used to do.

I am definitely prejudiced against them, but accept I have a bit of book snobbery going on there. If I put this aside, then I quite like the Ben Miller 'The Day I...' series and the Tom Fletcher Christmasaurus books definitely kept my son a reader in Y5 and 6.

Can I just get confirmation that 3 chocolate biscuits and a packet of Frazzles is an acceptable evening meal at this point in the term? Thank you.

Very often forgotten. Or the expectation is that we suppress our own feelings because it's not about us, it's about the children. The same with MH. Lots of awareness for children, but staff MH isn't acceptable.

On this article's topic of persuading more boys to pick up a book, I was really heartened to receive this message from the librarian at a school I visited last week telling me of the positive impact that ESCAPE ROOM: GAME ZERO has had. @nosycrow.bsky.social www.theguardian.com/books/2025/j...

β€œBe kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” Dalai Lama

We won’t always know the difference we’ve made for someone.

It might have been a conversation, a message, a moment of real encouragement.

You bring more light than you realise.

Often the best thing we can do is just be ourselves.

Not always polished. Not always serious. Just real.

It’s the daft, joyful things that keep us going – that matters.
