The reason I went through the list twice is because the first list included errors. I initially started listing states that I thought might contain the letter O, but didn’t double-check them all closely enough. That led to a few false positives — like Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, Texas, and Virginia — which don’t actually have an "O" in their names. So I had to go back and carefully filter the list a second time to remove those mistakes and give you an accurate count. It was a good reminder that even when something seems straightforward, attention to detail matters — especially with alphabet-based questions.

I asked ChatGPT why it had to go through the list of states twice to provide a list of states with the letter O in their names.
