To the old way. They thought it would discourage Dem voters. All the other counties are still vote at any voting location. Williamson County just made that decision after the first of the year. Wilco Dems fought it, but it is all or nothing.

Texas law has been vote in your precinct unless all parties at county level agree to the vote at any voting location. All counties went to the vote at any polling location probably 20 years ago, but the law was on the books. So…Dallas and Williamson Counties Republican Party wanted to go back

Poor buddy. He’s probably just not trusting that he won’t be left again, so doesn’t want to give in and show love. Gingers are usually a tad crazy, but usually really loving. His little heart got broken.

I used to put it on top of Merlin’s dry food. Now he’ll take it from the tube. My other boy gets so excited that he chews the tube, so I have to put it on his food or just in a dish…he’ll also nip me if I don’t squeeze it up fast enough 🤣

Sounds like he’s dealing with trauma and separation anxiety. Some take a LONG time to trust.

Will he take Churu? If so, there is now one from Feliway called happy snack. Merlin did seem a bit calmer after eating one (before I took him to the vet). If your boy was willing to voluntarily come inside, that is a positive step that he took. He may never cuddle, but he may stop attacking.

Is he outdoor only?

I don’t think so. He’s been in the state legislature for several cycles and has fought the Rs, especially on school vouchers and putting ministers in schools as counselors. He’s a former middle school teacher and has seen what is happening in education.

My area jumped 40 cents between Saturday and Monday.

Is he a poly on the front paws?

When he finally tried to take a swipe at me and he didn’t draw blood and I didn’t pull back, he was so shocked that he calmed down. He’s gotten me a couple of times since, but it is more because he’s trying to get me to keep petting him. The scruff between the shoulder blades was the trick for me.

It took a lot of Churu to get Merlin to calm down. I did find that scruffing him calms him right down. I was finally able to get him crated and to the vet…he had only had his initial kitten shots when he was fixed. Vet dropped him in a box to knock him out to do everything, including a nail trim.

Gingers are a bit crazy to start with🤣 very BIG boy, but very healthy looking. Merlin is just chunky. He was about 16 pounds when he got here, but since he won’t leave the bedroom and doesn’t get exercise to speak of, he has chonked up big time.

Williamson County Texas changed their rules and made people go to precincts instead of any voting location. Then, the voting machines started malfunctioning, including shutting down and being unable to bring them back up. That is why they are running so late.

He still won’t leave the room he’s in and only interacts with me for about 5-10 minutes a day. He’s been here since June 2nd of last year. He was a singleton, so never really learned to cat, plus my girls harassed him when he was a small kitten, so he hates them, too.

Ali, Burnet County is said Burn-it. The Rio Grande Valley is down in the bottom point of the state…not all along the Rio Grande River. That part on the left of the RGR is the Big Bend area. RGV is basically east of Laredo down to the tip of the state. Laredo is considered South Texas.

I’m with you. Never did I hear this. My parents couldn’t wait for me to “give” them grandkids.

A good one, maybe not the best, but “The Sting.” Great cast, fun ending.

I have inherited my daughter’s cat. He went 6 months without letting me pet him. I have scars from trying. One day I scruffed him and he laid right down and let me kiss his head. He’s been, mostly, good since then. I can even pick him up now to at least put him on the bed…all 20 pounds of him.

When I see part of season 1 and 2, I’m amazed that I liked the show then. LOL So many sexist comments, particularly towards Benson. Also, the way they talk about transgender folks. I’m so glad they evolved and actually led the way on so many issues.
