Lafferty on the 2nd line is diabolical

For fans wanting to feel better about Devon Levi’s struggles just take a look at Dustin Wolf this season

Years of elite WHL and AHL numbers, struggled in a small NHL sample in his 22 y/o season, and he’s looking like one of the NHL’s best this season

The Sabres on-ice fSh% (goals divided by unblocked shots) is 10.1% when he’s on the ice

The Sabres expected fSh% (expected goals divided by unblocked shots) is only 4.9%

The Sabres have been shooting 15.8% when Bowen Byram is on the ice at 5v5 this season, so he’s obviously going to be someone that appeals to the eye test

Expect that number to cool down a good amount

That is like a black hole in front of the net during Dylan Cozens minutes this season

Levi getting a game near his hometown on Wednesday, should be a nice setting to help him get things back on track

That Elias Lindholm contract is diabolical

But DET/BUF/OTT are the three stooges, the Islanders are the Islanders, and the Penguins goaltending/finishing has been killing them

Anytime I see people talk about the quality of wins of NHL teams I just think about how the 2013/14 Sabres beat the eventual Cup champions (Kings) and beat the eventual Presidents’ Trophy winner (Bruins) twice!
