Blackpool Remembered and Evolution of the Toy Dalek are two book projects I'm really proud of - made with years of passion and obsession! You'll find both on Amazon...

Lovely words from my friend @willhadcroft.bsky.social, on getting his copy of Málverk on CD.
The album (with 12-page booklet!) is available on CD from elasticstage.com/thelightdrea...
My music on CD.
Proud of these... all part of an ongoing journey.
High praise to Ed Davey this morning on BBC who pulled up them up for allowing Nigel Farage to platform his party with no comeback on his ramblings. Reporter denied this. Mr Davey repeated they didn’t report fairly and the BBC need to look at how they do this. Great to see this. Well done Ed Davey!

01.07.2025 16:18 — 👍 0 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0It's one of those annoying but oddly fascinating inconsistencies! The most sensible location for the mutant chamber would be in the middle/shoulder, as per the new series Daleks - though it still doesn't look as good when they're blown up, compared to having the mutant hanging out of the neck.
14.07.2025 13:30 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Always loved this cross-section, though I do wonder when (presumably) Davros decided to move the control chamber to the middle/neck section. 'Cus that's where the mutant always is!

01.07.2025 16:18 — 👍 0 🔁 1 💬 1 📌 0It's quite incredible those original Marx moulds still existed when David Boyle got hold of them - sadly I couldn't find more information about them when I was researching the book, but then we've got the Daleks as proof!
01.07.2025 13:29 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The Blackpool Remembered logo was inspired by the classic diamond-shaped Doctor Who logo of the 1970s. We tried a diamond-shaped version but it didn't sit right as a title - the typography itself was bold, said "Doctor Who" and also had a fairground feel.
01.07.2025 07:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This was in fact, a reverse image of the illustration I produced for the original ebook version (which now serves as the cover page).
01.07.2025 07:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Blackpool Remembered cover art: this could have easily been a photographic cover, but I decided to do an illustration that connected to that childhood experience, but that captures the colours and mystery of the exhibition as you entered the console room.
01.07.2025 07:19 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Really?! You have to give them credit for a superb reproduction, at least externally! Right down to the box art, too.
01.07.2025 01:13 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0There are, of course, plenty of Daleks pictured inside. Over 300 photos in fact, most of which were purpose-taken!
01.07.2025 00:37 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Resurrection of the Daleks. This is the one that sparked a lifelong obsession! Okay the story isn't the most revolutionary, but from a production point of view, drama, action, Dalek livery and Terry Molloy's Davros portrayal, for me it's the best.

30.06.2025 22:52 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The blue 'Dalek' typography is based on the memorable design of Palitoy's 1970s talking Dalek box art.
30.06.2025 22:10 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Evolution of the Toy Dalek cover design: due to rights issues around showing an image of a full Dalek, we decided an invasion of the iconic plunger arms and claws - photographed from the toys - was a fun way forward that still told you what it was all about.
