I don't know how I would even start to do anything if I had no ability to see things in my mind beforehand.
I have worked with other artists who can't visualise in that way and they seemed to get on OK. I guess you don't miss what you don't have.

I get that too. I have always been able to see a 'finished piece' in my head, and have never had the ability / knowledge / skill to match it ( 40 years of being an artist ) so I am always unhappy with things initially. I tend to be kinder to it after a few weeks when the image in my head has gone.
