Looking through binoculars around Moo Moo Meadows in Mario Kart World has a small chance of activating a "cute jumpscare" Easter egg whereby a group of Para-Biddybuds will suddenly look into the binoculars from the other side.

one tidbit:the entire Inital D arcade series' car control has been programmed by the same vet from the Sega Rally days, & their protege took the mantle for Sonic

the base driving's anchored on Rally; driftng was made wrt to Outrun, control feel wrt Sumo's games, all put through the Initial D filter

Due to the unique way Super Mario Bros. stores its maps, its level designers were at the mercy of the decorative hills and bushes when placing bottomless pits. While the pits can be placed freely, the decorations are non-negotiable and dictate the level design.

Kamek no longer tells Mario to "go to hell" in the Simplified Chinese script of the Switch version of Super Mario Galaxy 1+2.

The Switch translation is more literal to the Japanese script, where Kamek tells Mario to roll on the ground instead.
