Hampden Bowling Club, located on the site of the First Hampden Park, has announced that it will close on 28 February 2026. This has sent reverberations around the footballing world.

On This Day in 1873, Queen's Park opened the 1st Hampden Park. 152 years later Hampden Bowling Club has a timer above its head with 4 months and 3 days. That's how long we have until the keys are handed back to the council. Surely we dont want to lose the 1st Hampden again.

A sad day for everyone. Now its up to the community and football community to decide what happens next to the site of the First Hampden Park.

This week HES launched its consultation on 2nd Hampden.
Have a look folks and submit your thoughts. Protecting the terracing is the way forward. We submitted our application for all 21 sites (300070710). This put 2 in motion.

A brilliant day today. 1st 10k of the season completed in under the hour. Getting round without stopping was the first mission and clocked a time of 58 mins and 28 secs.
