09.05.2025 04:40 β π 44 π 15 π¬ 7 π 0screenshot of Dragon Age Veilguard. Showing a scene from near the beginning of the game where you can opt into being trans / nonbinary Rook: "Take a long hard look in it, kid. It'll always show the face of a hero who can get it done." Prompt: Establishes transgender identity and unlocks new dialogue options in future conversations. Options: I'm getting there. I love who l am. Feels good to see the real me. (Back)
Close up of my rookβs face while talking to Varric. I intentionally tried to make her kinda clocky with it. Varric: Chuckles is sentimental. He could burn the world down, and the thing that would make him cry is a single flower with blackened petals.
Screenshot from a convo at a cafe with the companion Lucanis. He is saying βLucanis: But even before l was captured, my life was not really my own. So much had been determined for me.β character choice: (Reaction to being trans or non-binary) βThat's no way to live.β
My nonbinary elven she/ her Rook saying βOnce I broke out of defining myself as a woman or a man, I was free to pursue what really mattered to me.β
Dragon Age The Veilguard has some of the best trans / enby representation Iβve ever seen in a AAA game. itβs also fantastically well written & so much damn fun to play.
you can opt into having your character be trans / enby, which unlocks additional dialogue options in various convos. π»
I hate how much anxiety it gave me deleting all my tweets. All those memories. I know it was necessary, but I've always struggled with letting go of things like that. Afraid I'll forget something important, I suppose.
I did get my archive, though.

05.11.2024 23:40 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I know it's easy to compare ourselves to others and find ourselves lacking, but those people you're comparing yourself to are often doing the same thing. Thinking their achievements aren't enough.
They are. YOU are. Plus, you aren't meant to be them, you're meant to be you. So be perfectly you. <3
Of course. π
19.04.2024 10:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's okay. I'm mostly just home sick. The place where I live is BEAUTIFUL, don't get me wrong. It's so vibrant and green and most people I've interacted with have been nice. I'm also very lucky to have amazing in-laws. It just doesn't feel like home yet? Maybe that will change in the future.
19.04.2024 08:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm glad you have a place to go that makes you feel safer, though.
19.04.2024 07:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0:c I'm so sorry. Sending you love. I hope this week becomes kinder to you and that your dark days are fewer.

19.04.2024 06:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Honestly it's mostly small stuff. Like not having my favourite foods or restaurant to go to. Little comforts like knowing my city and seeing familiar faces and places I've experienced my whole life. Seeing different products in the store and that uncertainty of ease of access to certain things.
19.04.2024 05:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you. I am actually in Oregon, so I'm not directly exposed to a lot of aggressive people. And I am VERY lucky my husband's family is very nice and mostly progressive. I just can't seem to avoid seeing things about it, which makes me anxious. I am safe, and grateful to be here of all places.
19.04.2024 05:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I appreciate it. I have a good support network and people in my immediate life are very kind. I just didn't expect all the little things to add up to so much? If that makes any sense at all lol.
19.04.2024 03:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Moving from Canada to the States is very... Weird. So many things are familiar but SO many things are different and jarring and unnerving.
The political climate makes my skin crawl, the obsession with guns makes me feel unsafe, people get SO angry so quickly here. I miss my home. :c
