Being single in 2025 is interesting. What happened to people?

Still going through my break up, official move out date is April 27th. He has a place. We are now down to a 2/10.

People used to call me an alarmist when I used to talk about the fragility of democracy. Now the US is detaining tourists, deporting citizens to El Salvador and the checks and balances that everyone thought existed, just don’t. Canada will have it much worse with the Notwithstanding Clause.

I’ve been posting on tik tok a lot lately, but not political content. I feel like I’m abdicating a bit here because this election is going to lay the foundation for who we become and what we will accept in Canada moving forward. This isn’t about affordability, it’s about standing up to fascism.

So the Vancouver by-election is coming up on April 5, 2025. Please, please, please vote. IYKYK.

Honestly, the old fashioned way! It’s changed my relationships so much for the better. We have more to talk about, they text me pictures, we actually keep in touch more through text and phone calls. I feel so much more loved and connected.

I’m one week and two days away from having my place to myself. This has been the longest I’ve ever spent post break up living with an ex. We broke up on January 23rd for context. 3/10 would not recommend.

I don’t think all opinions are valid. There are brilliant, educated people, refuting opinions and feelings through scientific study and history. If you’re debating fact with your feelings and opinions, your opinion probably is garbage and a little quiet self reflection and perhaps books might help.

Are you a facts or feelings person? And if you say facts, what is your definition of a fact and how do you validate the veracity of an objective fact?

The US is headed towards totalitarianism going even beyond authoritarianism. With how a Canadian blue party is being run (no dissension in the ranks allowed, Judeo-Christian ideology) are we setting ourselves up any differently if you vote that way?

Followed you again on tik tok, also decided to follow you here. Keep educating Canadians on how gov’t works. Our civics classes are really failing across some provinces.

With the election coming up in Canada I think Canadians may need to reevaluate what’s at stake. Ask yourself some really hard questions before you vote this year. Who are you? Which party aligns to your core values? Do you know the voting records of the party you’re supporting?

This morning I woke up, and for the first time in my life, I didn’t know what day it was. Is this what a good night’s sleep feels like?

I left awhile ago. I needed to protect my mental health. It was so awful at the end there for me and I suspect it’s descended to depths of depravity that actively harms everyone now.
