actually in retrospect it was for the best that Dave didnt charge at Caliborn with the sword. had he died itd be Heroic, he'd stay dead, had he landed the hit Caliborn would have died a Just death (the clock thing didnt happen here) and massive time paradox ensues beyond retcon fixing capabilities
