It is! I live in Georgia currently, but I grew up in Knoxville and most of my family is there, so I visit often.

Knoxville, I think I was only in the original store once in probably the early/mid-90s. Then it moved to a bigger space across the street where it was for years before it moved to the giant building it’s in now.

I had to zoom in because I was immediately like, “That’s a McKay’s sticker!” So wild that they have so many locations now. I remember the original McKay’s when it was just a little bit baby store.

A film you have seen more than six times?

A brownish banana peel with a Chiquita sticker has been split open and is in the middle of the road. Part of a spraypainted “A” left behind by utility workers is touching the bottom of the peel.

I am standing in a hallway talking a selfie in the mirror. I am showing off my Flax Light sweater, which I knitted with two gradient sets that fade from dark blue to light blue to sea foam green to light pink to dark pink.

The very first sweater I ever knit was this Flax Light (Tin Can Knits). I used two gradient sets (Twilight - Splash and Rambling Rose - Splash) from The Fibre Studio at Yarns to Dye For.

This was the start of the Ranunculus. I love this yarn, which is a copper, brown, and silver/grey variegated fingering weight yarn. I have about 1200 yards of it. I would love to use this, but I am open to using a different yarn if I found a good option that this one won’t work for. I have done a Ranunculus before, but I messed mine up in a similar way. Since it was for me, I just kept going. I really should be able to do it, and maybe I just need to start it again, but I thought I’d see if I got any interesting suggestions before I cast on a third time.

Knitters of Bluesky, I want to knit something for my brother’s girlfriend. I was going to do a Ranunculus but I keep messing up in the same place, and I’m wondering if i should scrap it for something else. I don’t think she is a scarf or shawl wearer. Somebody referred to my husband as my son once. He’s four years older than me. In fairness, she thought I had said he was my son, and I was under twilight sedation, so maybe I did? But I was 32 at the time and he had gray hair already so she should have realized he wasn’t my son.

I’m trying to learn watercolor. I did some a few years back, but I haven’t had my paints out since. It’s kind of nice getting back into it.

Gotta say, I was prepared to be horrified by this but it was kind of delightful
