The Assomption sash is a powerful symbol of our heritage! Deemed a central Métis symbol during the fur trade, its design and practicality aided with everyday life – it could be used as a belt, bag, wash cloth, or even calendar.

The Métis are known as the Flower Beadwork People! Our unique designs blend First Nations beading & French-Canadian floral embroidery, inspired by prairie wildflowers, rich land stories, and interconnectedness of all elements. It's a testament to our enduring culture and identity!
